OUR BELIEFS
PRAY
We believe prayer needs to be one of the highest priorities of the church.
We want to be like the early church that prayed earnestly for laborers of the harvest (Lk. 10:1-12).
And as we become those laborers we pray for open doors, boldness and clarity of speech when we try to make the mystery of the Gospel known (Eph. 6:19 & Col. 4:3).
EVANGELIZE
We believe the great commission requires 4 things, dictated in Mat. 28:18-20
The church needs to. . .
1. "Go." Evangelize
2. "Baptize" in the name of the Triune God
3. "Teach them to obey"
4. Remember that He "is with us always."
In other words, Evangelism isn't done until the evangelized become evangelists.
LOVE
We are a church family that loves one another in a way that reflects the power of the gospel. We serve the Lord together as the family of God to glorify Him by discipling believers unto maturity in Christ.
We then take that love into the community. Primarily by serving meals through various ministries & events. Always offering prayer and ready to share the Gospel.
CITY LAKE BAPTIST CHURCH
We are a Great Commission Baptist Church. Our doctrinal beliefs are reflected in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
